We do not take card details. Payment goes through Square, on Square's own systems. We see that an invoice was paid. We never see your card number.
If you apply to be a Sidekick
Everything above, plus your date of birth, the city you work from, a link to your photographs, and your identity document and background check result.
The identity check and the criminal background check are run by specialist providers, not by us. We see the result, we store the outcome, and we do not keep copies of your identity documents ourselves.
Background checks are a consumer report under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We will ask your written permission first, in a standalone document, and if anything in the report means we cannot bring you on, you get a copy of it and a chance to dispute it before any final decision.
Who else sees any of it
- Your Sidekick sees your first name, the location, the time and what you have asked for. They do not see your email address or anything about previous bookings.
- Square handles payment and payout.
- Google stores our records and sends our email, because our back office runs on a Google Sheet and Apps Script.
- Checkr runs background checks on Sidekick applicants.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
We would only hand anything over to law enforcement if legally required, or if somebody's safety depended on it.
How long we keep things

This website
There are no advertising cookies and no third party trackers on this site. Nothing follows you to other websites.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the request. That is the only outside connection any page here makes.
What you can ask for
Email hello@shotziapp.com and we will:
- Tell you everything we hold about you
- Correct anything wrong
- Delete what we are not legally required to keep
- Stop emailing you
We will do it within 30 days, and we will not ask why.
Children
Shotzi is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If a child appears in photographs you book, that is your call as their parent or guardian to make, and the terms cover it.
Written carefully and honestly, but not yet reviewed by an attorney. That review is booked. If something here matters to a decision you are making, email us and ask.
